Avi Lebovich, a native of Israel, is here with his second record release "CONSTANT CHASE". On this album, Avi brings a new and unique instrumental sound as well as a vocal arrangement approach with an emphasis on Middle Eastern rhythms, combined with motives drawn from various genres (Drum & Bass, Classical, Funk, etc.).
Following a long history of playing and recording with such artists as Milt Jackson, James Moody, Slide Hampton (also featured on Avi's first CD release with Mapleshade, "Shades of Brass"), Incognito, Bootsy Collins, Phillip Bailey (of Earth, Wind and Fire) and others, Avi turned to his internal passion - writing and arranging. (Recently, one of Avi's tunes "Mr. Demargary" was accepted by the prestigious "New Real Book" Real Book's latest edition). In this record the main idea is for each number to take the listener through different channels of thought and emotion.
